For us Filipinos, winter in Dubai isn’t complete without its bustling night markets. These vibrant events are sprinkled across the city, with hotspots often found in Al Rigga and Al Muraqqabat. All of them stand out for their unique Filipino vibes and one of them is the Kabayan Night Market. Located in Al Muraqqabat, right beside Coral Hotel, this seasonal market is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Pinoy flavors and a festive atmosphere.
Location and Atmosphere
Set against the lively backdrop of Al Muraqqabat, the Kabayan Night Market transforms into a mini fiesta during the cooler months. Strings of colorful lights adorn the area, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. You’re greeted by the lively sound of Filipino music and the delicious aroma of freshly cooked street food as soon as you arrive.
This family-friendly venue is the perfect spot for Filipinos in Dubai to gather and celebrate their culture. The market is buzzing with energy as people shop, dine, and enjoy the festive vibe that feels like a slice of home.

Food Trip: Satisfying Pinoy Cravings
The highlight of the Kabayan Night Market is, of course, the food! Here are some of the dishes we tried and loved:
Bacoleños Chicken Inasal
Chicken Inasal at Bacoleños is always a favorite. A smoky, flavorful chicken dish grilled to perfection. This brought back memories of Sunday lunches back home, complete with the tangy marinade we all know and love.

Sansrival by Ms. Gren
A true standout! The buttery and nutty flavors of this dessert made it one of my personal favorites. It’s the perfect treat to cap off your food trip.
Turon from Meryenda
Sweet, crispy, and perfectly caramelized, this turon was an instant hit. It’s a snack that never fails to please.
Mango Sago from Mango Mania
A refreshing treat with a sweet mango flavor. However, I did notice that the sago wasn’t fresh—it was a bit hard, which took away from the experience. That said, the overall taste was still enjoyable. I hope they improve their sago quality next time!
