Philippines Ranks 59th in Global Work-Life Balance Index
The Philippines has ranked 59th out of 60 countries in the 2024 Global Life-Work Balance Index by Remote. This index evaluates various factors including healthcare systems, wage percentages, and minimum wage based on United States Dollars per hour.
According to the report, the Philippines scored 27.46 out of 100 points. Filipino workers average 40.63 hours per week, with an hourly wage of $1.45.
The happiness index for the Philippines stands at 6.04, and its inclusivity ranking for the LGBTQ+ community is 57 out of 100.
In comparison, other Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia ranked 26th, 37th, 39th, 43rd, and 47th respectively.
Despite its low ranking, the Philippines is not at the bottom of the list, with Nigeria taking the 60th spot with a score of 16.5.
